Each participant may register once only. The website management team reserves the right to remove any posts that affect the security and stability of the platform or that may violate the legal rights (including rights of privacy and publicity) of other parties and also to remove duplicate posts.
Sharing your content and information
You own the intellectual property rights to all of the content and information that you post on Ignite! Hong Kong Art Portfolio Collection (‘IGNITE!’). Furthermore:
You grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content that is covered by intellectual property rights, such as photos and videos (IP content), that you post on or in connection with IGNITE! (IP licence). This IP licence ends when you delete your IP content or your account.
IP content will be deleted in a way that is similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. Content that has been removed may remain on the platform in the form of backup copies for a reasonable period of time. It will not be available to others, however.
We always appreciate your feedback and other suggestions about IGNITE!, which we may use to improve the online platform. We will not compensate you in any form for your feedback or suggestions, however.
We do our best to keep IGNITE! safe, but we also need your help to do that. To this end, you may not:
post unauthorised commercial communications (such as spam) on IGNITE!;
collect, process or use other users' content or information without their consent or otherwise access IGNITE!, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders or scrapers) without our prior permission;
engage in unlawful multilevel marketing, such as a pyramid schemes, on IGNITE!;
upload viruses or other malicious code;
solicit log-in information for or access an account belonging to another user;
bully, intimidate, or harass any user;
post content that: is hate speech, threatening or pornographic; incites violence or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence;
develop or operate a third-party application containing alcohol-related, dating or other mature content (including advertisements) without appropriate age-based restrictions;
use IGNITE! to commit any unlawful, misleading, malicious or discriminatory act;
commit any action that could disable, overburden or impair the proper working or appearance of IGNITE!, such as a denial of service attack or interference with page rendering or other IGNITE! functionalities;
facilitate or encourage any violations of this statement or our policies.
Registration and account security
IGNITE! users provide their real names and other personal information, and we need your help to protect your interests. This means that you may not:
provide any false personal information on IGNITE! or create an account for a person other than yourself without permission;
create more than one personal account;
create a new account without our permission if we disable your original account;
share your password, let another person access your account, or perform any other action that might jeopardise the security of your account;
transfer your account (including any page or application you administer) to any other party.
Protecting the rights of other people
We expect you to respect the rights of other people so that everyone can enjoy the IGNITE! platform. This means that:
you may not post content or take any action on IGNITE! that infringes or violates the rights of another person or otherwise violates the law;
we are entitled to remove any content or information you post on IGNITE! if we believe that it violates this statement or our policies;
you may lodge an appeal if you believe we have made a mistake in removing your content for an alleged infringement of another person’s copyright;
we will disable your account as appropriate if you repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of other people;
you may not post the private information of other people, including but not limited to identity documents and sensitive financial information, on IGNITE!.
Works of art must be submitted by their original creator and the owner of the intellectual property rights to them, who must reside and work in Hong Kong. For works of art that have been jointly created with other people, the consent of all the other co-creators must be obtained and the co-creator(s) must be clearly indicated and acknowledged in the description of the work of art.
You hereby acknowledge and warrant that you are the sole owner or that you have been authorised by the owner(s) of all rights, including but not limited to copyrights, design rights and all other proprietary and intellectual property rights in or pertaining to the work of art.
You hereby represent and warrant that the work of art is original, has been created independently and does not infringe, breach, prejudice or violate the property, interests or rights (including but not limited to contractual rights, user rights, copyrights, design rights, patents and any other proprietary and intellectual property rights whether registered or otherwise) of any third party. You agree to fully indemnify Oi! against all actions, claims, loss, damages, costs and expenses that it may incur or has incurred as a result of any breach of this representation or warranty. Should it prove in retrospect that a work of art that has been submitted breaches third-party rights, Oi! reserves the right to remove the entry. The above liability provisions apply accordingly to all items supplied by Oi! in connection with your participation in IGNITE!.
Oi! reserves the right to cancel or delete, in part or in whole, the information uploaded by the participant for any reason and is not obliged to reimburse the participant for any expenses they have incurred or compensate them in any other form related to a cancellation of this kind.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any claim or dispute shall be determined exclusively by the courts in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
These terms and conditions are drawn up in English. The English version shall prevail.
The submission of works of art implies acceptance of the terms and conditions for IGNITE! participants. The organiser has the sole and final decision in relation to issues that are covered in the IGNITE! terms and conditions, artist's profile and art submission forms. The organiser reserves the right to revise such regulations and forms at any time.
Protection of personal data
All personal information submitted will be used solely for the purposes of the Ignite! Hong Kong Art Portfolio Collection. In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), participants have the right to access and to correct their personal data that they have provided with their application to join Ignite!.
