ARTWORK DESCRIPTION (ENG) |
I mimicked the postcard image, meanwhile, inviting the others to peek into my past from the mirror. From the painting into mass-produced consumer goods, Monet’s Water Lilies was embedded in my memory resonating with many pleasant recollections. The new image no longer represents Monet’s garden nor his wonder towards the beauty of the modern world. These fragments of colours became the vehicle for emotion recalling a vain struggling to the passage of time and fade of memories. Meaning of the image is never related to authenticity and uniqueness or embodied in any object here; it can only be generated through the interpretation of viewers. |
